The polar opposite of my recent Disneyfied Serenity - call it a weird animated exchange program
Putting Belle in Takeuchi's style was interesting...loooong arms, taaaaalll body, and the nose and mouth almost non-existent, as is her skin tone. :/
That's deliberate, as is the fairly ambiguous shading. Takeuchi really only shades to show form, not lighting.
This might have looked MORE authentic if I'd had Painter, with its better watercolour emulation, but it's close enough
Very hard to recognize her as Belle, she looks so sad. I guess I'm more used the bright Disney colors as opposed to Takeuchi's style. I wonder what Jasmine would look like?
As for the 'sad'... yeah, ALL Takeuchi faces tend to look like that. I think it's meant to look languid and sexy
Belle wasn't exactly laughing when she first looked in that mirror...
Wow! How do you so many different styles like that, I can barely manage one style let alone disney and takeuchi like you're doing.

Denise killed Geta, stole Orly, shagged him senseless, and proclaimed herself Queen.
"But I don't want to be among queers."
"You can't help that, we're all queer here."

It's called 'I want to do what the OTHER person's doing'
The downside is that my style is CONSTANTLY evolving. My own style is a weird Disney-Japanese hybrid and it's evolving again.
Doing all this Jem and Disney art means that my characters are growing NOSES again!
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

I thought Belle's dress had a corsette tyle top and a skirt-like bottom, but either way, very pretty ^_^

All the Sailor Princesses have empire-line or A-line dresses with no corsetted waists.
I changed Belle's dress accordingly.
