SERIOUS niche stamp, here ;)

EUROVISION LOVERS UNITE!!

Americans, you don't know what you're missing.
The Eurovision Song Contest is a 52-years-young celebration of the worst pop music Europe has to offer.
It is living, breathing kitsch and the single most MST-able TV event outside of American Idol auditions.

My favourite winners:
2006 - LORDI!!.\
1987 - Johnny Logan
1981 - Buck's Fizz
1967 - France Gall

Eurovision gave the world ABBA, launched the Riverdance phenomenon, Celine Dion was a winner in '88, Johnny Logan became an Irish national treasure by winning TWICE and it's compulsory BBC viewing solely because Terry Wogan gets pissed and provides hilariously biting commentary.

The official site is a good intro, but the Wikipedia article is an engrossing several hours read, especially if you go year-by-year.

Don't ask me to explain the jokes. If you're an ESC fan, you'll know.

harry hill is always good at this time - he very rarely thinks our act will do well. but then again neither does anyone else! I LOVE that clip! it's one of my all time favourites and sums up our act every year. we couldn't even win with ' an international supergroup' we have no hope XD

but scooch. pretty disasterous. as was josh dubove. I apologise.
have you seen this years act? [link] . nil points.

who's representing you?
the song for UK is good - just a bit slow and not really modern enough for eurovision. i fear people will get bored :(
i've just listened to it for the first time and have to say yes iceland has got another brilliant entry. i don't understand how they don't win. yohanna - is it true is one of my favourite songs of all time. i absolutely love it, they always produce fantastic acts.
i hope they get through the heats ^^

so read the comics whilst listening - i will and i'll let you know how it goes ;)
oh really - hello *waves* XD
if we win where would we host it? maybe that's why we keep being given bad acts. thinking about the inevitable it taxing.
